Afranj- A Third Generation Recollections

Being a third-generation child, I often felt caught between three different cultures, never fully belonging to any. This created a constant sense of alienation, fueled by judgments and assumptions from others about my appearance, behavior, and even my name. The source of my insecurities seemed to lie in a mix of past traumas, societal pressures, and the struggle to meet the expectations of different cultures. I often questioned why I had to dress or act in certain ways to be accepted, and why I felt so different. The search for my identity was painful and confusing, a never-ending cycle of doubt and self-questioning. Yet, through this journey, I realized that freedom comes when you stop seeking approval and finally embrace who you truly are.
